Hydrogen Bus Lab

CEM hydrogen bus low lab is specially equipped with sensors and alarms to allow storage of a prototype hydrogen bus with two tanks of hydrogen gas a maximum 4000 psig.  The room was modified after consultation with UT fire marshal and is equipped with a hydrogen gas sensor and ventilation in compliance with NFPA codes.  Audio and visual alarms are installed outside the doors. Alarms will activate before the hydrogen gas can reach a flammable level.  Ventilation in room is designed to remove hydrogen gas rapidly to prevent flammable concentrations.   In addition to these special equipment features, this lab space has an large overhead door for easy access.
